Overview
We license physicians, develop and administer standards of practice and conduct, and investigate/resolve physician-related complaints.
We also provide leadership and direction on health and related policy issues such as access to services, quality improvement, patient safety and privacy.
We are funded primarily through physician licensing fees, although other organizations and government grants fund specific projects.
